Next Meetup/Shootout on Oct 23

It's Fall and the leaves are changing. What better time to hold our next meetup Sunday, October 23 than at
Shady Hill Gardens and Corn Maze
42W075 Route 38
Elburn, Illinois
630-365-5665
$6.00 for adults
$4.00 for kids
Parking is free.
Meetup time is 11:30 am. We'll wait for everyone until 12 noon and then head out to get lost in the maze and take some photos.
Shady Hill is on Route 38, just two miles west of Route 47.
FROM CHICAGO:
I-90 west, past Elgin. Take the Route 47 exit, turn left. Take Rt. 47 all the way south to Elburn, turn left at Route 38 and go two miles. Watch for the driveway, the greenhouse is a large glass conservatory building.
FROM ROCKFORD:
I-39 south out of Rockford, to the Route 38 exit. Turn left, heading west to Elburn. It's two miles east of Route 47.
Pack a lunch or have a big breakfast. The only places to eat closeby are a Pizza Hut and a McDonald's. However, it is within striking distance of St. Charles.
Many thanks to Suzanne aka The Farmer's Wife for helping organize this event.

My first chicago photobloggers meetup! How exciting!
Anyone have an estimate for how long the drive out there is from the city?

I'd give myself 90 min to 2 hours depending on traffic and where your start point is. Usually it's pretty light on Sunday. I suggest doing a MapQuest or Yahoo! Maps search with the destination being Elburn, IL. That should give you an approximate time.

google earth shows lots of restaurants in the area. ... unless Google earth is showing the wrong place?

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Yang, you are correct. I didn't mean to mislead anyone, there are restaurants, they're just not closeby. There are some nice places about 8 miles away in Geneva, or a bit further in St. Charles. We can decide while we're trying to find our way out of the corn maze!!

Glad you liked my photo enough to use it (even if it did take me over 6 months to discover it purely by accident :P)
