Meet-Up

So far we've got 6 people who are coming to the First Annual Chicago Photobloggers Meet-Up. I'm going to make reservation on January 3rd, 2005. So make sure you're all RSVP-ed to me by then.

Thinking ahead to the future, however, I was thinking that we could do something along the lines of what they did in NYC. I could start work on that if anyone would be interested. Let me know because it's something I would love to see happen.

It's a digital-era and I want to see how different people are capturing the city. I think we can talk about the non-digital stuff on Jan. 9. Once again, my e-mail address nfeder@gmail.com. Please e-mail me about this (subject: "Chicago Photoblog Meet-Up 2"). I'm going to need some help talking to the Apple store and a way to get eight photographers to speak.

6 people?! Come on we can do better than that! We're going to eat, so I promise Nick won't be hungry enough to bite anyone.

It might be worth finding out how the NYC photobloggers organized their event and go from there. We could certainly use that as a selling point with the Chicago flagship store by mentioning the NYC Soho store's involvement with our Big Apple brethren. I like the idea and am interested in participating -- particularly since I'm one of the few photobloggers around here that primarily works with film -- but I really think it's important that we achieve some critical mass with this group before doing something that ambitious.

Hi Chicago bloggers. Just came across your site which is great. I am a blogger based in England but I was in France last week and I saw an article in a French magazine with a link for a Chicago blogger who concentrates on studies of people on the streets of Chicago. Unfortunately I lost the cutting. If anyone knows who it might be I would be grateful for the link. I have been looking for it but can't find it. Best regards..
