Create Your Own Meetup

Anytime

...and e-mail us at chicagophotoblogs

@gmail.com with the details.

As many of you know, the Chicago Photobloggers group have been a tad inactive lately. Especially with meetups and shootouts. As a matter of fact, the last one was last November.

There is a cure for that. Create your own meetup. Set a time, a date and a place. Let us know about it via e-mail. We'll get it posted.

The strength of this group is based on the interest of its membership. it's doesn't take everyone. Just a few to keep it going.

November meetup @ Millennium Park

The next Chicago Photobloggers meetup/shootout will be held on Sunday, November 20 at 1 pm at Millennium Park. We'll meet in front of Anish Kapoor's 'Cloudgate', known to everyone else in the known universe as The Bean. Afterwards, we'll head down to one of the local establishments for drinks and noshes if everyone's so inclined.

Leave a message on the main page entry to let us know if you're coming.

It's Fall and the leaves are changing. What better time to hold our next meetup Sunday, October 23 then at

Shady Hill Gardens and Corn Maze
42W075 Route 38
Elburn, Illinois
630-365-5665

$6.00 for adults
$4.00 for kids
Parking is free.

Meetup time is 11:30 am. We'll wait for everyone until 12 noon and then head out to get lost in the maze and take some photos.

Shady Hill is on Route 38, just two miles west of Route 47.

FROM CHICAGO:
I-90 west, past Elgin. Take the Route 47 exit, turn left. Take Rt. 47 all the way south to Elburn, turn left at Route 38 and go two miles. Watch for the driveway, the greenhouse is a large glass conservatory building.

FROM ROCKFORD:
I-39 south out of Rockford, to the Route 38 exit. Turn left, heading west to Elburn. It's two miles east of Route 47.

Pack a lunch or have a big breakfast. The only places to eat closeby are a Pizza Hut and a McDonald's. However, it is within striking distance of St. Charles.

Many thanks to Suzanne aka The Farmer's Wife for helping organize this event.

Join us at the Chicago Air & Water Show!

The next Chicago Photobloggers meetup and shootout will be held Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 9 am at the Chicago Air and Water Show. We'll meet up at the Starbucks inside the lounge of the Westin Hotel at 909 N. Michigan Avenue right across from the John Hancock Center. Bring broad brimmed hats and plenty of sunblock -- not to mention your cameras. It's always a great street and people photography extravaganza -- oh, and the planes are interesting, too, as well!
